The Alki Market is a beachside mixed-use development serving residents and visitors to the Alki Beach neighborhood of Seattle. It replaced an existing neighborhood market and includes a grocery and delicatessen, both sub-grade and surface parking, Northwest native land-scaping, and an owner-occupied residence on the top floor. This project was the AGC Best Small Building of the Year in 2004

With dramatic skies, wind-whipped water and quiet streets in the winter; and sunny beach volleyball games in the summer, Alki is a unique place to live in Seattle. This elegant modern residence creates a private rooftop world above an exciting commercial building right across from the beach. Inside, dramatic modern spaces are filled with a rich mixture of artwork and eclectic furnishings. On the outside, winter and summer terraces are defined by pavilions whose scale reflects the residential scale of the neighboring buildings.
